FEEDBACK AND EXPERIENCE FROM RADIOLOGICAL INCIDENTS – RELIR
Initiated in 2001 by the CEPN and the French Society of Radiation Protection (SFRP), in collaboration with the French national research and safety institute (INRS) and the French Authority for safety and radiation protection (ASNR, former IRSN), the RELIR system gathers and make available events analysis relevant to the training of workers and prevention. The CEA’s National Institute for Nuclear Energy and Technology (INSTN) has also joined the RELIR network. The selected incidents are presented in descriptive reports guaranteeing anonymity for the individuals, companies and equipment involved.
CEPN is in charge of the technical secretariat of the RELIR network, as well as the website management and preparation of incident reports, which are then approved by a committee. A mirror site in English (OTHEA) is managed by the UKHSA (UK Health Security Agency) in the United Kingdom .
